Who we are

This site, justgoodbusiness.co.uk, is operated by Digital Tactics Ltd (5 Boundary Road, Hove BN3 4EH, United Kingdom; company no. 07666910), the company behind Just Good Business and SOSX®. Digital Tactics is the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect, and why

We keep this deliberately small. We collect:

• When you register interest or ask for a conversation: your name, email address, business, role if you give it, where your business is, your question, how you'd like to talk, your phone number if you choose a phone call, and whether you'd like news from us. We use them to reply to you and arrange the conversation.
• When you request the book: your email address, and your name if you give it, so that we can email you the book, together with a record of that delivery.

We do not buy or sell personal data, we do not build advertising profiles, and this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking.

Lawful basis

• Your request: we use your details to answer an enquiry you sent us and to take the steps you asked for, such as arranging a conversation.
• Legitimate interests: delivering a book you requested, keeping a delivery record, and keeping our forms secure (for example, limiting abuse).
• Consent: for news by email, only if you tick the box. You can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.

Book downloads

The book is delivered by SOSX, the platform Just Good Business runs on, from books@sosx.ai. We use your email address to send your copy and keep a record of that delivery, so we know which books we have sent you. It is not used for any other purpose, and we never share it except where we are legally required to. The delivery email may also invite you to confirm a subscription to updates; nothing further is sent unless you confirm.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries: while we are in conversation with you, and afterwards only for as long as we need to answer questions about it. Ask us and we will delete it sooner.
• Book delivery records: kept while necessary to protect our work, and reviewed periodically.
• Subscriber records: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only a minimal record so that we continue to honour it.
• Security and delivery logs: a short rolling period.

Who processes your data for us

We use trusted providers to run this site and its forms:

• Cloudflare, website hosting, and our forms and delivery service (forms.sosx.ai);
• Resend, to send delivery emails and to notify our team of your enquiry.

These providers process data only on our instructions. Your data stays in the UK or the EU, or, where a provider transfers it elsewhere, it is protected by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

If you use Just Good Business

If you go on to use Just Good Business, the SOSX privacy notice at sosx.ai/privacy covers your account and the content you put into it, including how your business data and finances are kept private to you and the people you name.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it, and withdraw consent to our emails at any time. To exercise any of these, email us at the address below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
